Electrical Learning Support Assistant – Mainstream College
Location: Bromley, BR2
Hours: 9.00am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday
Start: September
Pay: Competitive, depending on experience
We are working with a well-regarded mainstream college in Bromley (BR2) looking to appoint an Electrical Learning Support Assistant to support students with additional needs in their Electrical and Engineering department.
This role is ideal for someone with a background or qualification in electrical work who is passionate about supporting young people in a practical learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting students with additional needs (e.g. autism, ADHD, anxiety) during Electrical Installation and Engineering sessions
Assisting with practical and written tasks, promoting understanding and engagement
Encouraging positive learning behaviours and independence
Working closely with teaching staff to adapt tasks and ensure accessibility
Helping students remain focused, safe and confident in workshop settings
Requirements:
A qualification or hands-on experience in Electrical Installation or Engineering
Previous classroom, college or workshop-based support experience
A calm, supportive and proactive approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A genuine interest in education and making a difference
