An exciting opportunity for an ambitious Customs Clearance Operator to join a rapidly growing international Freight Forwarder in Heathrow

Customs Clearance Operators will be responsible for completing the full customs declaration process. This will include liaising with internal and external stakeholder to obtain relevant information for HMRC Customs declarations.

Duties include
• Completing both import and export customs declarations in a busy customs clearance department.
• Collecting relevant information from internal and external stakeholders.
• Assisting the compliance team with customs audits, amendments and other duties.
• Ensure a high standard of work to maintain good levels of customer service and compliance.
• Completing and monitoring the status of applications made to DEFRA on the IPAFFS/PEACH systems.
• Undergo continuous training in order to stay up to date with the changing environment of UK customs.
• Liaising with customers to assist with customs related questions and queries.
• Invoicing of brokerage files through our in house system.

Ideal candidate has a through understanding of Customs Import regulations and has experience of at least 2 years + previous experience in the logistic and freight forwarding industry
Experience with perishables goods as an advantage / DEFRA Experience

IT Knowledge including Microsoft Office is required
Salary 25K-35K subject to experience
