Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Financial Assessment Officer in Derby. This is a full time contract position
Responsibilities include:
To financially assess, collect income, pay fees and monitor debt in respect of clients who reside in care facilities
To provide a high level of financial and administrative support to customers in receipt of community-based support
To validate financial assessments and inform the customer about the outcome, adhering to statutory legislation, State Benefit Rules and the Data Protection Act ensuring accuracy of information
To provide a high level of financial and administrative support to customers in receipt of community-based support and to providers delivering services, verifying financial assessments, paying providers, managing customer’s direct payment accounts and pursuing debt recover.
Skills and experience:
Experience of working in a financial environment within a public sector/social care/health care environment is essential.
Excellent communications skills
Experience in monitoring, processing, investigating and validating expenditure incurred by direct payment customers
A DBS will be required to start this position
