Finishing Foreman – Large-Scale Refurbishment | Immediate Start
We are currently looking for an experienced and confident Finishing Foreman to join a major refurbishment project on an immediate start basis.
This is a hands-on site-based role supporting the Senior Site Manager, so we are looking for someone with a strong personality, excellent communication skills and the confidence to take control of finishing activities and subcontractors on site.
The ideal candidate will have extensive large-scale refurbishment experience and a strong understanding of how buildings are constructed, with the ability to read and interpret construction drawings accurately.
Requirements
- Valid SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
- First Aid qualification
- Fire Marshall qualification
- Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman within the construction industry
- Extensive large-scale refurbishment experience – essential
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Excellent understanding of construction methods, sequencing and how buildings are built
- Strong knowledge of finishing trades, site procedures and health & safety
- Confident managing and coordinating subcontractors and site teams
- Strong leadership skills and the personality to take control on site
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work closely with and support the Senior Site Manager
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
- Ability to identify issues, coordinate solutions and ensure works remain on programme
- Any other relevant construction qualifications are desirable
The Ideal Candidate

You must have a proven background in large-scale refurbishment projects, understand construction processes from start to finish and be confident reading drawings and coordinating works on site.
The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the Senior Site Manager, overseeing subcontractors and ensuring finishing works are completed safely, efficiently, to a high standard and in line with programme requirements.
