Freelance Earthworks Manager

Duration: 6 months
£300 per shift
I am working with a leading subcontractor delivering a major package of works on a relief road project. They are seeking an experienced Earthworks Manager to join their team on a freelance basis, overseeing large-scale bulk earthworks and associated civils activities.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Take full responsibility for day-to-day delivery of earthworks operations on site.
• Manage plant, and labour to ensure safe and efficient progress.
• Oversee quality assurance of earthworks activities.
• Ensure compliance with programme, specifications, and HSEQ standards.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, client representatives, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records, reporting progress, issues, and variations.
Requirements:
• Proven track record in managing bulk earthworks packages
• Ideally experience in highways or infrastructure schemes.
• Strong knowledge of earthworks methodologies
• Experience working with subcontractors
• CSCS (Black or Gold), SMSTS, and First Aid.
• Full UK driving license and right to work in the UK.
