Our Established freight forwarder client based in Sunbury are looking for someone to join our Procurement team to assist with the Air Ocean & Road freight pricing

Main Purpose of the role is to complete air , ocean & road pricing for internal & external clients.
Use communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders across the business using resources available to maximise opportunities.
Negotiate with carriers and vendors to ensure best possible buying conditions. Analyse data to identify opportunities.. Working closely
with the sales & management teams to develop business within the current portfolio of business.

Role daily activities are :
Freight quotations (sourcing rates and quoting our customers) - daily supplier and customer interaction working closely with the operations team.
Assisting with our internal procurement of rates and maintenance within our freight system. Managing and looking after costings module
Customer Liaison – to receive and process customer requests in a timely fashion. To build relationships with customer and suppliers. To gain trust and become customer preferred supplier
Systems / Software Knowledge – to utilise a range of in-house systems to process customer bookings to meet the requirements requested by the customer
Customs Compliance – to have a good understanding of what documents could be required when quoting import or export shipments
Planning: Work load and Time management being able to plan , prioritise customer requests
Commercial Awareness – to understand and use the current carrier rates to ensure company achieve a positive margin
Procurement – Reviewing carrier performance and maintaining rates within company's worldwide rate platform.
