Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary School | Walthamstow (E17)
Start Date: Early October 2025
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 3:30pm
Contract: Full-time | Long-term
An inclusive and supportive secondary school in Walthamstow (E17) is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from early October on a long-term basis.
In this rewarding role, you’ll be supporting students with a variety of additional needs, including Autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health), and behavioural challenges. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a combination of 1:1 and small group support, helping to develop trust, promote engagement, and build emotional resilience in young people.
We’re looking for someone who:
-Has strong experience supporting students with SEMH, trauma, and challenging behaviour
-Can deliver emotional regulation and mentoring strategies with confidence
-Is calm under pressure, reliable, and proactive
-Uses positive behaviour management and communicates effectively with young people
