This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded financial services group that specialises in alternative investments. Our client, an international fund administration provider, is seeking a driven Fund Accountant to support the day-to-day administration and accounting for a portfolio of private equity structures.
This role is ideal for someone with a minimum of two years' relevant experience in financial services and who has commenced their ACCA or ACA qualification. You’ll be joining a dynamic team with exceptional training and development opportunities across a growing network of offices.
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
• Undertaking daily bookkeeping for various fund structures and ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Assisting with quarterly valuations, monthly and quarterly investor reporting, and annual financial statement preparation.
• Preparing periodic bank reconciliations and compiling supporting documentation.
• Responding to routine audit queries in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintaining accurate records using eFront and internal systems.
• Supporting and training junior members of the team.
• Building and maintaining effective client relationships.
The ideal candidate will have:
The successful applicant will have at least two years' experience in a financial services environment and be actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification (preferably ACCA or ACA). Strong communication and organisational skills are essential, along with a proactive approach to learning. Prior experience in fund administration and working knowledge of relevant systems will be advantageous. Candidates must hold full Guernsey working rights as this role is not open to overseas applicants.
