As Head of Service for People Commissioning you will lead the development and implementation of the People Commissioning function. You will report directly to the Director of CPCM. You will work closely with the Procurement & Contract Management Head of Service to ensure resources are deployed appropriately.

Key duties will include the creation of service design / specification documents and working on decommissioning existing services where applicable and carrying out analysis to understand any gaps or changes required.

It will be your responsibility to ensuring all programmes align with the strategic priorities and core policies of the Council, and where appropriate you will lead cross-departmental teams to deliver high-quality outputs. On a regular basis you will lead activity around scoping and managing complex and high-profile areas of strategic and partnership engagement work.

We are looking for an accomplished leader who can drive team activity and lead by example. You will need to be customer and value focused in your approach. It is essential that you are continuously keeping aware of developments and best practice within Health & Social Care (Children’s & Adults) and you are able to convert this into a strategic direction for the authority.

Our client is offering a minimum 6 month contract and day rate of £650 (inside IR35). Full JD available on application.
