Our client is a well-established telecommunications and technology organisation operating across the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. The company is continuing to invest in its people and is seeking an HR Assistant to join its Human Resources team, supporting the delivery of a professional and compliant HR service across the business.
Role
This position provides high-quality HR administration across the full employee lifecycle, supporting the HR Advisor and Senior HR Manager in delivering a generalist HR service across the organisation. The role involves managing HR processes, maintaining accurate records and supporting recruitment, onboarding and employee administration activities.
The role is offered on a 37.5-hour working week and can be based in Guernsey, Jersey or the Isle of Man
.
Key responsibilities
• Provide HR administration support across the full employee lifecycle, including starters, leavers and contractual changes
• Support recruitment processes, including coordinating interviews and managing candidate communications
• Draft and issue offer letters and employment contracts
• Maintain HR systems and employee records ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Support onboarding processes, including pre-employment checks and induction coordination
• Assist with HR reporting, absence monitoring and documentation preparation
• Administer employee benefits updates and healthcare changes
• Support training administration, engagement initiatives and internal HR programmes
• Maintain confidential HR records and ensure compliance with data protection requirements
Person specification
• CIPD Level 3 qualified or currently working towards the qualification
• Previous HR administration experience within a fast-paced commercial environment
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong IT skills and experience working with HR systems
• Professional, discreet and able to handle confidential information appropriately
