Vacancy - Internal Sales/ Branch Assistant
Location - Harlow, Essex
Industry - Lighting and Electrical Wholesaler
Working Hours - Monday to Friday with Saturday mornings on a rota basis
We are currently recruiting for an Internal Sales / Branch Assistant on behalf of a well-established electrical wholesaler. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience within electrical wholesale or a trade merchant background looking to develop their career.

The Role
You will be part of a small team and a main point of contact for customers — helping them find the right products and manage their orders efficiently.
Main responsibilities include:
• Serving customers both face-to-face and over the telephone
• Handling customer enquiries, quotations and sales orders
• Providing product advice and assisting customers with their requirements
• Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships
• Processing orders accurately and efficiently
• Liaising with suppliers and checking product availability
• Assisting with stock management, picking and packing where required
• Supporting the wider branch team to ensure the smooth running of the branch
• Maintaining a high standard of customer service at all times
Skills & Attributes Required
We’re looking for someone who is both technically minded and customer focused.
You’ll need:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Confidence and enthusiasm for speaking to customers on the phone
• A reliable and committed working attitude
• A hard-working, proactive team player
• Good listening skills and a willingness to learn and develop
• A resourceful and problem-solving mindset
Experience / Skills:
• Electrical Wholesale or a Trade Merchant background is a distinct advantage
• Sales-focused, with excellent customer service skills
• A positive and hardworking attitude, with the ability to work under pressure
You should have a solid understanding of how the electrical wholesale sector operates and be able to communicate confidently with a wide range of customers and suppliers.
