Vacancy - Internal Sales Executive
Location - Croydon, Surrey / South London area
Industry - Lighting and Electrical Distributor
Working Hours - Monday to Friday only (no weekends)
Salary - up to circa £36K + bonuses depending on experience

The Role
You will be part of a small team and the main point of contact for customers — helping them find the right products, solve problems, and manage their orders efficiently.
Main responsibilities include:
• Handling customer enquiries via phone and email
• Raising quotations for customer orders
• Dealing with pricing enquiries and technical queries
• Managing customer terms and pricing
• Progressing queries and following up
• Processing purchase orders
• Reactive selling and upselling where appropriate
• Using the internal computer system and spreadsheets
• Providing first class customer service
• Carrying out occasional ad hoc duties as required
Skills & Attributes Required
We’re looking for someone who is both technically minded and customer focused.
You’ll need:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Computer literacy (including Microsoft Office)
• Confidence and enthusiasm for speaking to customers on the phone
• A reliable and committed working attitude
• A hard-working, proactive team player
• Self-motivation and the ability to deliver on promises
• Efficiency and attention to detail
• Good listening skills and a willingness to learn and develop
• A resourceful and problem-solving mindset
Experience Required
• Essential: Sales experience within the electrical wholesale industry
• Desirable: Knowledge of lighting products
You should have a solid understanding of how the electrical wholesale sector operates and be able to communicate confidently with a wide range of customers and suppliers.
