Overview
I am currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking General Labourer / Yardman to join my clients team based in Oakhanger, Hampshire. The role involves assisting with the assembly of track groups, operating a forklift truck (full training given), cutting tracks using a gas torch, and carrying out general yard duties. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys practical work in a busy yard environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Assisting with the assembly of track groups and related components
• Operating a Forklift Truck (FLT) to move materials and equipment safely around the yard
• Cutting tracks using a gas torch when required
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised yard environment
• Supporting the workshop team with general labouring tasks
• Following all health and safety procedures
Requirements
• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or mechanical environment preferred
• FLT licence would be bonus, but full training can be given, so no experience needed
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
• Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
• Good awareness of health and safety practices
