Learning Support Assistant
Location: Fleckney and surrounding areas like Market Harborough and Leicester City
Hours: Full-time / Part-time options
Pay: £89 - £110 per day (experience dependent)
We’re currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants to support pupils with additional needs across local schools and specialist settings.
This role is about providing calm, consistent support to help pupils feel safe, confident, and able to engage with learning. Support may be 1:1 or in small groups, depending on the setting and pupil needs.
What does a Learning Support Assistant do?
You’ll be supporting pupils who may need extra help due to:
.Autism (ASD)
.ADHD
.SEMH
.Learning difficulties
.Speech & Language needs
.Emotional or behavioural challenges
You may be working in mainstream schools, special schools, or alternative provisions, supporting learning both in and out of the classroom.
This role is ideal if you:
.Have experience in education, SEN, care, or support work
.Are patient, empathetic, and reliable
.Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
.Understand that learning looks different for every child
.Qualifications are useful but not essential — the right attitude and experience matter most.
You’ll be working through a SEND-specialist education recruitment agency that works closely with schools to provide staff who genuinely fit their environments.
All roles are subject to enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks.
