Axcis Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic learning mentor to work in partnership with a leading further education college. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in students’ academic journeys and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring support to students aged 16+
• Help learners build confidence, improve motivation, and develop effective study habits
• Support students with emotional, social, and behavioural challenges that may affect their learning
• Collaborate with teaching staff and support services to track progress and implement support strategies
• Promote student well-being, attendance, and engagement
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Experience working with young people in an educational or support setting (college, school, youth work, etc.)
• A calm, empathetic, and encouraging approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• Relevant qualifications or training in mentoring, youth work, education, or related areas (desirable)
