An established organisation is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its Legal Team, supporting the Deputy Director with the provision of general legal advice across a wide range of activities.

The team plays a key role in supporting supervisory and enforcement matters, advising on operational and policy development issues, assisting with the drafting of rules, regulations, and legislation, and liaising with external advisors and industry bodies.

Key Responsibilities
• Providing advice on disclosure, legal privilege, and statutory requirements.
• Drafting, reviewing, and advising on legislation, rules, regulations, agreements, and policies.
• Supporting litigation matters, including drafting and court attendance.
• Participating in internal project boards, panels, and providing training where required.
• Advising on operational and commercial issues across the organisation.

Requirements
• Qualified lawyer with a current practising certificate in the UK, a Commonwealth country, or another common law jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience.
• Background in regulatory, financial services, or company/commercial law is desirable.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
