Job Advertisement: Lunch Cover Assistant (SEND School)
Location: Sutton
Hours: 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
Start Date: ASAP
Starting rate: £13.69 per hour PAYE
We are seeking a caring and reliable Lunch Cover Assistant to join our dedicated team at a SEND school in Sutton. This role involves supporting SEND students during lunchtime hours. Flexibility to work with students across various age groups is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and support students during lunch breaks, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Assist with personal care routines, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene, while maintaining students’ dignity and comfort.
• Provide support for students with medical needs, following care plans and using specialist equipment as required.
• Foster positive interactions among students, promoting social inclusion and engagement.
• Adapt to the needs of different age groups, providing tailored support to each student.
Requirements:
• Experience working with SEND students, particularly those with ASD, PMLD, or medical needs (preferred but not essential).
• A compassionate and patient approach, with a commitment to supporting students’ individual needs.
• Willingness to assist with personal care and medical routines.
• Flexibility to work with students across various age groups.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
