We are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-supported Independent Specialist School in Totnes, who are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Maths Tutor to join their team from September 2026. This is a full-time opportunity to take responsibility for providing 1:1 and small group mathematics learning to secondary age students who has autism, ADHD and complex needs. The school benefits from a supportive Senior Leadership Team (SLT) who prioritise staff development, wellbeing, and collaborative working.

•Start Date: September 2026
•Contract: Full-Time, Temp to Perm
•Salary: £28550 - £37500, depending on experience and qualifications.
•Requirement: Maths tutoring experience, or strong Maths subject knowledge.
The Role
•Delivering 1:1 and small group Mathematics' Learning for students working below age related expectations.
•Planning, delivering, and assessing learning
•Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
•Working closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents
The Ideal Candidate:
•Is competent with their Mathematics subject knowledge.
•Has experience tutoring or teaching Mathematics on a 1:1 and group basis, including SEND learners.
•Demonstrates strong relationship building skills, particularly for students with SEND.
•Is passionate, proactive, and committed to pupil progress
•Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to school life
