About the Role
As National Services Manager, you will lead all aspects of our national service network—overseeing workshop operations, mobile engineering teams, and technical support functions. Your mission: deliver reliable, efficient, and safe machinery that meets the high expectations of our clients across all sectors.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
• Define and deliver a forward-thinking national service strategy.
• Identify innovation opportunities and implement best-in-class service enhancements.
• Contribute to senior leadership decisions with insights on operational performance and service development.
• Operational & Technical Oversight
• Lead multi-site workshops and mobile engineering teams.
• Ensure smooth delivery of planned maintenance, repairs, and responsive breakdown support.
• Uphold the highest standards of safety, compliance, and technical quality.
People Development & Team Leadership
Inspire, develop, and support a skilled technical workforce.
• Conduct performance reviews, create development pathways, and foster a culture of ownership and accountability.
• Champion continuous learning and skills progression.
Customer & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Ensure exceptional, reliable service delivery to all customers.
• Act as a senior point of contact for service-related challenges.
• Collaborate across departments to align technical capabilities with commercial goals.
• Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
• Set and monitor KPIs to track service delivery and operational efficiency.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement through smarter processes and team empowerment.
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Skills
• Senior-level service management experience in plant hire, construction, or heavy equipment.
• Strong technical knowledge of plant machinery, mechanical systems, and hydraulics.
• Proven leadership of multi-site and mobile engineering teams.
• Clear, confident communicator with a solutions-focused mindset.
• Ability to analyse data, make informed decisions, and manage competing priorities.
• Competent with reporting systems and digital tools.
Qualifications
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
• IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety qualification (desirable)
• UK right to work (essential)
