Our client is the largest group of actuaries and consultants in the Channel Islands seeking to recruit a Pensions Actuary - Actuarial Pensions, Guernsey.

Key responsibilities will include;

• Being responsible for ensuring the quality and timeliness of the delivery of pensions consultancy services in relation to clients allocated to you. (Clients comprise trustees and employers of pensions schemes.)
• Representing the firm professionally and effectively with clients and to maintain a high standard whether by phone, in writing or in person.
• Being responsible for the review of checked work and to provide checking of (particularly more complex or new) work of other team members in the Pensions Actuarial department.
• Providing input into pensions related projects and processes including product development and improvement.
• Assisting in the training of the team.

The successful candidate:

• Must be a Fellow of the Institute or Faculty of Actuaries or nearly qualified, with ideally at least 2-3 years experience working within an actuarial team
• The job entails a high degree of computer use and, as such, PC skills including basic use of Word, Excel and E-mail are a minimum requirement. Extensive knowledge of Word, Excel and Lotus Notes would be an advantage.
• Demonstrable experience in managing and delegating workload is preferable
