Description

Axcis Education is working on behalf of a welcoming mainstream primary school in Southport to recruit a passionate and nurturing Preschool Teacher for a full-time position. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive school community committed to providing high-quality early years education in a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment.

We are seeking an enthusiastic teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) status who has a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and is committed to giving every child the best possible start to their learning journey.

The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences that promote children's social, emotional and academic development. You will create a warm and inspiring classroom environment where children feel safe, valued and encouraged to explore, while working closely with colleagues, teaching assistants and parents to support every child's progress.

Key responsibilities include:
• Planning and delivering creative, child-centred EYFS learning opportunities.
• Monitoring, assessing and recording children's progress in line with EYFS requirements.
• Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
• Promoting positive behaviour and supporting children's wellbeing and development.
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, families and external professionals where required.
• Contributing to the wider life of the school and maintaining high standards of safeguarding and professional practice.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for early years education and a commitment to inclusive teaching. Experience supporting children with a range of learning needs and strong behaviour management skills would be advantageous.

This is a full-time role offering the opportunity to become part of a friendly, supportive staff team dedicated to helping children thrive. Applicants must hold QTS (or be an ECT) and have, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
