Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the SENCO to implement effective support strategies.
Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing updates on progress and involving them in their child’s learning journey.
Participate in staff meetings, CPD sessions and school-wide initiatives to support whole-school SEND practice.
Uphold the school’s safeguarding procedures and ensure the wellbeing of all pupils is prioritised.
Candidate Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Experience teaching in a primary setting, with a sound understanding of the primary curriculum.
A strong working knowledge of SEND practices, especially in relation to Autism, ADHD and learning difficulties.
Proven ability to adapt teaching strategies to support a wide range of learning needs.
Committed, resilient and able to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a proactive and reflective approach to teaching.
Additional SEND training or qualifications are highly desirable.
What We Offer:
Competitive salary in line with the Main Pay Scale / Upper Pay Scale, depending on your skills and experience.
A welcoming, inclusive school environment with a supportive leadership team.
Opportunities for ongoing professional development, particularly in SEND and inclusive practice.
