As a primary teacher, you will use inclusive classroom practice and the assess–plan–do–review cycle to make reasonable adjustments that ensure pupils with dyslexia can access the full curriculum.
Key responsibilities:
Planning dyslexia-friendly lessons with clear, accessible resources
Monitoring pupil progress and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly
Creating an inclusive learning environment that promotes resilience
Working in partnership with parents, teaching assistants and external professionals
Person Specification:
Qualified teacher status (qts)
Understanding of dyslexia-friendly strategies (training provided if needed)
Commitment to removing barriers to learning
Passion for supporting children with additional needs
