Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Professional Services Engineer – Unified Communications to join a leading telecommunications provider in the Isle of Man.
This role sits within the Professional Services team, where you’ll support and implement advanced communication and collaboration solutions, including Mitel, Session Border Controllers, Cloud Voice, Connect for Teams, and Operator Connect.

The Role
You’ll be part of a dynamic, customer-focused team delivering innovative Unified Communications solutions to enterprise clients. This position involves both implementation and in-life support, working closely with consultants and customers to ensure systems run smoothly and meet evolving business needs.
Your work will directly contribute to enhancing client collaboration and driving digital transformation across modern workplace environments.

Key Responsibilities
• Support and deliver communication and collaboration solutions for enterprise clients.
• Assist with implementation, configuration, and support of Mitel and Microsoft Teams voice services.
• Manage SIP and VoIP system integrations, Session Border Controllers, and cloud-based telephony.
• Provide technical expertise, documentation, and customer guidance throughout project delivery.
• Participate in a callout rota to provide out-of-hours support, including nights, weekends, and Bank Holidays.

Key Skills and Experience
• Strong understanding of telecommunications and application delivery methodologies.
• Experience working with SIP and VoIP systems.
• Proven ability to communicate confidently and professionally with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to remain composed and effective under pressure or in complex situations.
• 3–7 years’ experience in a similar Unified Communications or Telecom Engineering role.
• Product knowledge covering Mitel, Ribbon, Microsoft Teams Voice, and SIP trunking.
Desirable Certifications:
• SIP School Certified Associate (SSCA)
• Ribbon SBCE20 Edge Support & Implementation
• Microsoft MS700 – Teams Administrator Associate
• Microsoft AZ900 – Azure Fundamentals
• Mitel Certified Associate – MiVoice Business or UCC
