Description
Our Client, an exciting Global Freight Forwarder, now has a vacancy for a SEA FREIGHT Project Co-Ordinator to join their team.
Duties will involve:
• Handling of inbound and outbound shipments and co-ordinate with carriers.
• Assist with organising and delivering logistical aspects of a tour/event as required by the
Project Manager.
• Create trusted relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure all quotes are raised in BoxTop and followed-up with the client, taking a proactive
approach to customers to see if they wish to proceed
• Help prepare project proposals, timeframes, schedule and budget.
• Monitor and track project’s progress and handle any issues that arise.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Assist with preparation for ATA Carnets and monitor their tracking
• Liaising with airline ocean lines overseas and UK suppliers (Hauliers).
• Assist with preparing shipment documents such as AWB, BOL's and Custom Entries
• Assisting Project Managers on a daily basis.
Requirements:
• Previous freight forwarding experience.
• System and process driven with very high attention to detail.
• Dynamic, flexible and always lead by example on our standard operating procedures.
• Effective communicator within a team setting.
• Ability to use own initiative and to escalate matters appropriately.
• Positive and professional attitude and willingness to help when needed.
• Five-year background check.
• DBS background check.
• Flexible to the needs of the business.
Desirable Skills
• BoxTop experience or freight forwarding/cargo software.
• CDS experience.
• ATA Carnet experience.
• Forklift experience.
• Full clean UK driving licence.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm, with occasional out of hours work
