Description

Psychology Graduate Opportunity – Specialist Learning Support

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? We’re looking for a caring, reliable and motivated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in Bath, supporting students aged 16–25 with learning disabilities and autism.

This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, starting as soon as possible. The position will become permanent after a 12-week settling-in period and pays £13.70 per hour.

You’ll be joining a well-established local organisation recognised for its inclusive, nurturing approach and strong focus on developing independence and life skills. Their most recent Ofsted inspection praised the calm, respectful learning environment and the way students are supported to gain confidence, grow in self-belief and prepare for adulthood.

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll support students both in the classroom and during practical learning sessions — whether that’s helping them with functional skills like English and maths, supporting work experience placements, or encouraging them to engage in creative and community activities.

We’re not necessarily looking for someone with years of experience; what matters most is your attitude, empathy and enthusiasm. You’ll be a great fit if you enjoy working with young people and want to help them achieve their goals, are patient, positive and a good communicator, can work well as part of a friendly, supportive team, and are looking for meaningful work that makes a difference every day.

This role would suit graduates in English, Maths or Psychology, support workers, or anyone with a genuine passion for helping others reach their potential.

If you’re ready to start a rewarding new chapter in education and support, we’d love to hear from you.
