Are you a psychology graduate with a keen interest in child development, behaviour, or mental health? Looking to gain hands-on experience working with young people – while keeping your weeks flexible?
We’re looking for psychology graduates to work across primary, secondary, and SEND schools in Taunton, supporting students both academically and emotionally. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, helping children and teens to feel supported, understood, and confident in their learning.

Why This Role is Ideal for Psychology Graduates
• Flexible Schedule – Choose the days you’re free to work
• Term-Time Hours – 8:30–3:30 means your evenings and weekends are yours
• Relevant Experience – Work in real school environments and see psychological theory in action
• Diverse Settings – Support children in mainstream and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) environments
• Boost Your CV – Gain experience with behaviour support, classroom dynamics, and learning interventions
• Weekly Pay – £89 per day, paid every week
What You’ll Do
• Support students 1:1, in small groups, or across the classroom
• Assist with learning, engagement, and emotional regulation
• Apply psychological insights to help students develop social and behavioural skills
• Build positive relationships and provide a consistent, supportive presence
• Work alongside teachers, SENCOs and support staff to meet individual needs
• Contribute to inclusive, safe learning environments where every child can thrive
Who We’re Looking For
• Recent psychology graduates or students with strong people-focused experience
• Empathetic, calm, and great at building rapport
• Curious about educational psychology, SEN, mental health, or youth development
• Experience working or volunteering with children, young people or vulnerable groups is a big plus
• Comfortable working in a variety of settings and adapting to different needs
• Access to a car is advantageous
