The Opportunity:
Kenton Black Finance are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk on behalf of a business that is based in the Lytham area. This company was founded over 30 years ago and operates in the manufacturing industry, as well as other sectors. The vacancy requires the successful candidate to play a key role in ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and efficiently, and supporting the wider finance function with reconciliations, and stock takes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with at least one year’s experience in a similar role who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Salary and Benefits:
- A salary up to £28,000
- 30 days of annual leave (including bank holidays), increasing with service to 33 days
- A 3% company pension
Your New Role as the Purchase Ledger Clerk:
- Processing supplier invoices in line with agreed payment terms
- Matching invoices with purchase orders and coding them correctly
- Entering invoices onto the system and filing for payment
- Liaising with line managers to authorise invoices without purchase orders
- Resolving invoice queries with suppliers and internal requesters
- Raising payments via BACS and supporting payment runs
- Processing staff expenses and supporting month-end procedures
- Participating in bi-annual stock takes and analysing adjustments
- Supporting the Financial Controller and wider finance team with ad-hoc duties
Experience and Skills Required to Apply:
- At least 1 year’s experience in a similar finance or purchase ledger role (ESSENTIAL)
- Strong organisational and time management skills (ESSENTIAL)
- Excellent Excel and general IT skills (ESSENTIAL)
- Experience with Sage (Advantageous)
- A quick learner who is self-motivated and enthusiastic (ESSENTIAL)
- A team player with great interpersonal skills (ESSENTIAL)
