About the Company
Rhodium Consulting are delighted to be working with a leading groundworks and development contractor in the Southwest, employing over 500 people and continuing to grow rapidly. They are now looking for an experienced Buyer to join their Exeter office and play a key role in their procurement team.
Senior Quantity Surveyor – Exeter
Key Responsibilities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and supply chain partners.
• Provide contractual and commercial advice to Contracts Managers and site teams.
• Identify, analyse, and manage commercial risks across projects.
• Conduct site measurements and prepare accurate monthly applications for payment.
• Manage subcontract packages from tender through to final account, including payments and dispute resolution.
• Prepare and submit reliable monthly cost/value reports for each project.
• Optimise cash flow by ensuring timely receipt and payment of invoices.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.
• Liaise with statutory authorities to support project delivery.
• Review new drawings, monitor cost changes, and issue cost updates to clients.
Reporting Line
You will report directly to the Commercial Director. This position offers excellent opportunities for career development and progression within a supportive and ambitious organisation.
Requirements
• Certificate of Higher Education (essential).
• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in Quantity Surveying.
• Ability to commute to Redruth or willingness to relocate prior to commencement.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
