Axcis Education is delighted to be working with an independent specialist provision on the outskirts of Newton Abbot. This setting is dedicated to supporting students with SEND, with a strong emphasis on outdoor learning and tailored 1:1 teaching opportunities in calm, individual learning spaces.
We are currently seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work full-time (9.00am – 4.30pm) supporting a 16-year-old student with ASD and complex needs on a 1:1 basis.
About the Role:
•Full-time position, Monday to Friday
• £115-£145 a day, depending on previous experience.
•1:1 support for a student aged 16 with ASD and complex needs
•Likely to become a permanent role for the right candidate
•Start date: As soon as possible
•Based in a supportive, nurturing provision with a focus on outdoor and experiential learning
About You:
•Must hold a full driving licence and be able to travel to the provision
•Strong interest in Science is essential – ideally with A-level Science or a Science-related degree
•Experience working with young people with SEND (particularly ASD)
•Patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting young people to thrive
