Working as part of the IP & Internet Services team, you will manage a wide-ranging technical estate including firewalls, DNS platforms, SSL certificates, Linux servers and SIEM tools, ensuring these systems remain secure, reliable, and aligned with the organisation’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate, maintain and improve the firewall, DNS, SIEM, SSL, Linux and monitoring estates.
• Implement secure configuration best practices, patch management and vulnerability mitigation.
• Provide incident response and support for security alerts and unusual activity.
• Produce accurate documentation, reports and procedures for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Liaise with audit teams and internal stakeholders to support compliance and reporting.

• Supervise consultants, suppliers or subcontractors when required and mentor team members.
• Maintain at least one relevant technical qualification and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate:
• Experience with Check Point firewalls (qualification desirable).
• Skilled in managing SIEM, IPS, patch management, log correlation and vulnerability tools.
• Comfortable administrating Linux environments; experience with Red Hat preferred.
• Familiar with DNS services (e.g. BIND, PowerDNS) and certificate lifecycle management.
• Exposure to VMware platforms and Qualys or similar patch/vulnerability solutions is advantageous.
• Highly motivated, well organised, and able to produce high-quality work under pressure.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with clear and confident communication.
• Must hold a valid driving licence and be willing to travel off-Island as required.
• A satisfactory Basic Police Disclosure is required due to the sensitive nature of the role.
