The SEN Learning Support Assistant Role
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant in Northampton, you may support children with Autism/ASC, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, learning difficulties and other additional needs.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small-group SEND support.
Help children access learning and classroom activities.
Support communication, social and emotional development.
Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement.
Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
Follow EHCPs and individual support strategies.
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals.
Maintain a safe, positive and inclusive environment.
We're looking for people who are patient, empathetic, resilient and reliable, with strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children.
