SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary | Waltham Cross (EN8)
Start Date: December 2025
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
Contract: Full-time | Long-term
A warm and inclusive primary school in Waltham Cross is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from December on a long-term basis.
You will be supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASD), non-verbal communication needs, and behavioural or emotional regulation challenges. This will include both in-class support and 1:1 work, helping pupils engage with learning and develop key communication and self-regulation skills.
Key Requirements:
Strong experience supporting pupils with ASD, communication needs, and behavioural or emotional regulation challenges
Familiarity with alternative communication systems such as PECS or Makaton
A calm, consistent and supportive approach to behaviour management
Previous experience working in a UK primary or Early Years setting
Reliable, patient and able to commit full-time
