Description

We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a specialist college based in CM1. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people aged 14–19 with moderate learning difficulties, including those with Autism.

About the College:

Our college provides a safe, structured, and stimulating environment where students are supported to grow in confidence and develop the skills they need for adult life. We offer a range of Foundation Learning courses designed to promote independence and prepare students to become active and valued members of their community.

We are dedicated to delivering an individualised educational experience, carefully matched to each student’s learning needs. Our aim is to empower young people to successfully transition to further education, training, employment, or to lead happy, healthy, and independent lives.

The Role:

• Support students in both classroom and practical learning environments
• Assist teaching staff in delivering personalised learning programmes
• Encourage the development of independence, communication, and life skills
• Provide support with social interaction, emotional regulation, and behaviour
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning atmosphere

What We’re Looking For:

• A patient, empathetic, and resilient individual
• A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Experience with SEND

If you are passionate about helping young people achieve their potential and develop the skills they need for the next stage of their lives, we would love to hear from you.

Apply now to join our team in September 2026.
