We are working closely to support a well-supported Independent Specialist School in Totnes, who are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Psychology Tutor to join their team from September 2026.
•Location: Totnes
•Start Date: September 2026 (As Soon As Possible)
•Contract: Full-Time, Temp to Perm
•Salary: £25,550-£33,200 depending on qualifications and experience.
•Requirement: Psychology teaching or tutoring experience, or strong Psychology subject knowledge.
This is a full-time opportunity to take responsibility for providing 1:1 Psychology learning to a post-16 student who has autism and complex needs. Some of the contents you will be required to deliver will include A-level Psychology. The school benefits from a supportive Senior Leadership Team (SLT) who prioritise staff development, wellbeing, and collaborative working.
The Role:
•Delivering 1:1 Psychology' Learning, including to A-level standard.
•Planning, delivering, and assessing learning
•Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
•Working closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents
The Ideal Candidate:
•Is very competent with their Psychology subject knowledge.
•Has experience tutoring or teaching Psychology on a 1:1 or group basis.
•Demonstrates strong relationship building skills, particularly for students with SEND.
•Is passionate, proactive, and committed to pupil progress
•Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to school life
