SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary School
Location: Clapham
Full-Time & Part-Time Positions Available
We are currently recruiting experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming primary school in the Clapham area.
The school is looking for caring, patient and experienced Teaching Assistants to support children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including ASD, complex needs and challenging behaviour.
The Role
You will work closely with teachers and the wider school team to support pupils with their learning, development and emotional wellbeing.
You may be supporting children on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping them to access the curriculum and develop their confidence and independence.
What We Are Looking For
Previous experience working with children with SEND
Experience supporting ASD and/or complex needs
Experience managing or supporting challenging behaviour
Primary school experience is desirable
Patient, caring and resilient approach
Ability to build positive relationships with children
Good communication and teamwork skills
Requirements
Right to Work in the UK
Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one
Relevant experience working with children or young people
Up-to-date CV
