The school is a unique educational environment split into two parts: a Primary School for children aged 2-11 years old and a Secondary School for students aged 11-19 years old. We cater specifically to children with severe learning difficulties and/or autism, providing a supportive and inclusive atmosphere tailored to their individual needs.

Our mission is to create a nurturing, understanding, and stimulating environment where all our students can thrive. To achieve this, we work closely with speech and language therapists, as well as occupational therapists, to address communication and sensory processing challenges, thereby minimizing barriers to learning and helping our students extend their skills.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our committed team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting our teaching staff and enhancing the educational experience of our students. This role requires flexibility, creativity, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
• Work collaboratively with the school's multidisciplinary team, including speech and language therapists and occupational therapists.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the emotional and social development of students.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is a necessity
• Experience working with children with severe learning difficulties and/or autism is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of communication and sensory processing challenges in children with special educational needs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with special educational needs.
