Pay Rate: £13.70 per hour / £89–£105 per day (depending on experience)
Working Hours: Full-Time, 8:30am - 3:30pm
We’re working for a school in the M14 area looking for a teaching assistants to work with children with ADHD.
Your role as a teaching assistant will be to provide targeted support that helps pupils with ADHD access learning, build focus, and manage impulsivity, all within a safe, understanding environment.
Your responsibilities as a teaching assistant:
• Providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils with ADHD
• Helping pupils stay focused and engaged during lessons
• Using movement breaks, visual schedules, and other strategies to reduce overwhelm
• Supporting the class teacher in adapting resources and routines
• Promoting self-regulation and positive behaviour choices
What we’re looking for:
• Experience working as a teaching assistant supporting children with ADHD or similar behavioural needs
• An understanding of neurodiversity and how it impacts learning
• A calm, energetic, and flexible approach
• Strong relationship-building skills and a passion for inclusive education
• The ability to implement consistent routines and behaviour strategies
