SEND Teaching Assistant – SEMH & Behaviour Support
Location: Henley-in-Arden, Warwickshire
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week
Axcis Education is seeking a proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH needs and behavioural challenges, providing structured support to enhance learning and wellbeing.
The Role:
• Support pupils in managing emotions and behaviour within the classroom
• Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions
• Implement positive behaviour strategies and restorative approaches
• Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral staff to ensure consistency
About You:
• Experience supporting SEMH or challenging behaviour
• Calm, confident, and trauma-informed approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and emotional support interventions
