SEND Teaching Assistant – Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) – Stratford
Location: Stratford-upon-Avon
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week
Axcis Education is recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and complex needs in Stratford. Many pupils are non-verbal and require a high level of care and structured support.
The Role:
You will:
• Support children with SLD, communication difficulties and sensory profiles.
• Assist with hoisting, feeding, and personal care (training provided).
• Use AAC, symbols, or sensory approaches to support communication.
• Create an engaging and structured environment.
• Work closely with specialist staff and therapists.
About You:
• Experience in SEND schools, care settings, or complex needs support.
• Compassionate and comfortable with personal care.
• Adaptable to individual needs and learning plans.
• Positive, resilient and a strong team player.
