Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant (Primary School)

Salary: From £13.50 per hour
Axcis Education is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND teaching assistant to work within a welcoming primary school setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to access learning and reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
• Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
• Support pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
• Help manage behaviour in line with school policies
• Encourage social and emotional development
• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
Requirements:
• Previous experience working with children, ideally within a school or SEND setting
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
• Must hold an Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered on the Update Service (essential)
