Teaching Assistants – Primary (Full-Time & Part-Time Options Available)
We are seeking enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistants to join a supportive and inclusive mainstream primary school in Widnes, which also hosts a specialist SEND unit for children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. We have immediate starts available for candidates who already have an Enhaced DBS on the Update Service, as well as having September starts for those who are willing to get one.
Position: Teaching Assistant – Primary
Hours: Full-time and part-time positions available
Location: Widnes
Setting: Mainstream primary with dedicated SEND provision
This role involves providing 1:1 support across the curriculum, working closely with children with a range of additional needs including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
You will be an integral part of a caring and experienced team, helping pupils to access learning, build confidence, and develop both academically and socially in a nurturing environment.
We welcome candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including education, care, and youth work.
What we’re looking for:

Experience supporting children with SEND (formal or informal)
A calm, patient, and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
