Description

Our client is an established Guernsey-based financial and fiduciary services provider offering wealth management, investment, fund administration and fiduciary services.
They are seeking an experienced Senior Fund & Investment Administrator to support their fund and investment operations. This varied role covers fund valuations, shareholder administration, investment dealing, regulatory reporting and client servicing.

Permanent and temporary candidates will be considered. Hands-on experience working through and checking fund valuations is essential; a high-level understanding alone is not sufficient.

Key Responsibilities
• Process shareholder transactions and review account opening documentation and Client Due Diligence.
• Prepare and check weekly, monthly, quarterly, biannual and annual fund valuations.
• Review Investment Adviser trade recommendations against fund investment restrictions.
• Liaise with fund custodians, auditors and other external parties.
• Process shareholder and fund fee payments and complete bank reconciliations.
• Carry out shareholder file and risk reviews.
• Check trade orders before authorisation and place trades for trust and company clients.
• Process trade payments, dividend reinvestments and cash dividend payments.
• Maintain security pricing and internal investment records.
• Prepare and check fund regulatory returns and FATCA/CRS reporting.
• Complete AML documentation for Fund Managers.
• Prepare administration reports for inclusion in fund Board packs.
• Assist with regulatory requirements and wider project work.
• Monitor and manage central investment email communications.

About You
• A minimum of three years’ fund administration experience.
• Practical experience preparing, working through and checking fund valuations.
• Strong numerical skills and a good understanding of accruals and prepayments.
• Experience in investment administration.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately to deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, including the use of formulas.
• Good general spreadsheet and PC skills.
• An ICA or Guernsey Offshore Certificate would be advantageous; relevant fund administration experience is essential.

What Is on Offer
• Permanent and temporary opportunities considered.
• A 35-hour working week, Monday to Friday.
• Exposure to both fund administration and investment operations within an established financial services business.

The permanent position offers 25 days’ annual leave, increasing with service, a generous pension contribution, private medical insurance and an annual discretionary bonus.
