Senior General Foreman – Freelance
Location: Sheffield
Start: October 2025
Duration: 8 months
Scope: Concrete, Heavy RC Works, Rebar, Structures
I am recruiting for a Senior General Foreman to join a major project in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced foreman to take a leading role on a high-profile scheme.
The essence of the role is to coordinate and supervise a workforce of circa 20 operatives on heavy RC and Concrete works: Pits, Structures, Rebar, Waterproofing etc. Within a very strict and safety conscious working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate a workforce of 15–20, including Shuttering Joiners and Steel Fixers
• Report directly to the Project Manager, ensuring smooth communication across site teams
• Oversee the day-to-day running of works, driving progress and maintaining productivity
• Ensure all works are delivered in line with company and client processes and procedures
• Maintain the highest levels of health and safety at all times, leading by example on site
Requirements:
• Senior General Foreman / Works Manager with Concrete / RC / Structures experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate site teams
• Solid understanding of reinforced concrete and structural works
• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid are all essential for the role
