The Opportunity
At Kenton Black, we are working with a leading Tier 1 UK contractor to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a significant highways infrastructure project in North Somerset.
This role offers the opportunity to join a major civil engineering scheme involving the delivery of a new carriageway, junctions, earthworks, drainage and associated structures. You will play a key role in supporting the commercial leadership team, ensuring robust commercial control, reporting, and contract management across the project lifecycle.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to work on a high-profile infrastructure project within a well-established and growing contractor.
Key Responsibilities
Promote and maintain a safe working environment across the project.
Produce and negotiate subcontract documentation, including terms, pricing and programmes.
Manage subcontract work packages, including interim assessments and change management.
Issue and manage commercial notices to both the client and subcontractors in accordance with contractual requirements.
Oversee and manage contractual change, including the preparation of Compensation Event Quotations.
Prepare and agree monthly client applications in line with the contract.
Liaise with operational and engineering teams to ensure accurate site records and commercial reporting.
Produce monthly commercial reports, including Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR).
Maintain and manage the project cost plan, including forecasting and expenditure tracking.
