Vacancy: Stock Controller
Industry: Lighting & Electrical Wholesale
Location: NW London
Salary: Up to c. £33,000 per annum (DOE)
Our client is recruiting for an experienced Stock Controller with exceptional attention to detail to work closely with the purchasing department within a well-established lighting and electrical wholesale business.
This is a key role for an organised and commercially aware individual who understands the demands of a fast-paced distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Control and maintain accurate stock levels across the business
• Work closely with the purchasing team to support buying activity
• Monitor stock turn, slow-moving lines, returns and stock cleanses
• Assist with bulk buying initiatives and rebate agreements
• Liaise with suppliers to negotiate, clarify orders and manage issues
• Support internal teams to ensure customer needs are always prioritised
• Maintain accurate records and work within set processes and deadlines
Skills & Experience Required:
• Previous experience within the electrical wholesale industry (essential)
• Proven background in stock control, with exposure to purchasing or buying
• Strong commercial awareness
• Excellent communication skills when working with suppliers and colleagues
• Highly organised, focused and able to work under pressure
• Comfortable working within a structured environment and tight deadlines
Salary & Benefits:
