Axcis Education is proud to be supporting a large, well-established SEND school in the St Helens area, welcoming pupils aged 4–14 with a wide range of needs. These include ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and a variety of complex medical and learning needs.
We are seeking a caring, dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join the school from February, working across different classes to provide personalised support to pupils who need it most. If you’re passionate about inclusion and motivated to make a meaningful, lasting difference, this could be the ideal role for you.
Your Role
Provide 1:1 support to pupils within the classroom and wider school environment
Support the delivery of individualised learning plans designed by teachers and therapists
Assist with communication, emotional wellbeing, and behaviour regulation
Use creative and engaging approaches to encourage independence, confidence, and progress
Work collaboratively with a friendly, skilled, and supportive team of professionals
What We’re Looking For
A patient, compassionate, and child-centred approach
Experience with SEND is beneficial, but not essential—attitude and commitment are key
Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, inclusive school environment
Confidence supporting children across a range of ages and abilities
