We are recruiting for a long-term Learning Support Assistant position at a welcoming and inclusive college in Hounslow, starting in September 2026. You will join a dedicated and supportive SEND department, helping post-16 students achieve their educational and personal goals.
Position Details
September 2026 start
Long-term opportunity for the full academic year
4 or 5 days per week (based on your availability)
£14.25 per hour (PAYE – starting rate)
The Role
You will support post-16 learners with a range of additional needs, including:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Anxiety
Behavioural needs
Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
Support responsibilities will be matched to your skills, experience, and strengths.
Requirements
Previous experience supporting post-16 students
Experience working within a college or secondary school setting
Confidence supporting students with a range of complex SEND needs
A positive, patient, and proactive approach
