Location: Ashton-under-Lyne
Pay Rate: £89–£100 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only
Are you a nurturing and resilient Teaching Assistant ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs?
We are currently recruiting for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated and supportive SEN school in the Ashton-under-Lyne area. This is a full-time role starting in September 2025, supporting students with a range of complex needs and challenging behaviours.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience supporting young people of school age, ideally in an educational setting.
- A background in supporting students with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
- Experience within an SEN setting, supporting teaching and learning for a dedicated group of students.
- Proven ability to work with teachers to monitor progress and engagement, and to record and share progress updates with key stakeholders.
- Experience in differentiating interventions in line with the curriculum.
- A positive role model who can encourage appropriate social behaviour in and out of the classroom.
- A nurturing and empathetic approach to supporting emotional and behavioural development.
- Emotional and physical resilience and a non-judgemental attitude.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to use initiative when needed.
- A willingness to take part in ongoing professional development.
