**Teaching Assistant Level 3 - Littleborough, Lancashire**

**Job Title:** Teaching Assistant Level 3

**Location:** Littleborough, Lancashire

**Contract Type:** Full-Time

**Hours:** 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM

**Salary:** £97 per day

**About the Role:**
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join a dynamic team within a supportive and vibrant learning environment catering to Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (KS1). The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working alongside children with additional needs, specifically Autism, and will be committed to providing exceptional care and educational support.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Work under the direction of the class teacher to provide a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Support children with additional needs, specifically those on the Autism spectrum, tailoring your approach to meet individual requirements.
- Employ various educational techniques, including Makaton, to enhance communication and engagement among all students.
- Contribute to the planning and preparation of activities, ensuring they cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
- Assist with the monitoring and recording of student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary.
- Help manage classroom behaviour, maintaining a positive and safe learning space.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff to facilitate a cohesive approach to education and pastoral care.
- Display patience, empathy, and understanding in all interactions with pupils.
- Attend staff meetings and professional development as required.

**Requirements:**

- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Minimum of 12 months UK classroom experience, ideally within EYFS/KS1.
- Experience working with children who have additional needs, particularly Autism.
- Training in Makaton or other alternative communication methods is highly beneficial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, empathetic, and nurturing disposition.
- Strong commitment to inclusivity and supportive learning.
- Capable of working both independently and as a part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual professional conduct is essential.
